Float valve

NZ$69.00

A float valve is a mechanically actuated inlet‑control device designed to regulate water levels in storage tanks, toilet cisterns, and header systems by automatically opening and closing in response to the position of a buoyant float. Constructed from corrosion‑resistant materials such as brass, SS304 stainless steel, or reinforced polymer, the valve incorporates a precision‑machined seat and seal assembly to ensure reliable shut‑off performance under varying pressure conditions. As the water level rises, the float arm transfers upward force to the valve mechanism, progressively restricting flow until a complete seal is achieved, preventing overfilling and backflow. Standard configurations utilise 15 mm (½" BSP) inlet threads, making them compatible with New Zealand plumbing systems, and are typically rated for operating pressures between 100–500 kPa. Designed for long‑term durability and minimal maintenance, float valves provide stable hydraulic control in both residential and commercial water‑storage applications.
